People often times put a lot of pressure on themselves if they have to miss training days. Whether it’s because they’re too busy, too tired, or just don’t really want to go, it doesn’t matter. A lot of us will guilt ourselves into feeling really bad about not going into the gym and I’m here, again, to try and encourage all of us to RELAX.
I’ve said this a lot, but “We are working out for fun.” Put pressure on yourself accordingly!
I’m completely guilty of this. I started Crossfit back in February. And since from June until now I have competed in 6 competitions and sometimes they were back to back. Being a former collegiate wrestler and bjj practitioner, the feeling competing as an individual is like no other, especially if you succeed. Who knows what I want to do in my life in regards to crossfit, but what I know from experience is that every tells me to chill out. Relax and have fun. That is very important and this video couldn’t have come on a better day. Thanks for the advice.
AWESOME feedback, Tommy! Thanks so much for sharing 🙂
I just think when we look back at our “younger years”, are we going to remember that one, or those 10 days when we didn’t train? Probably not!
But we WILL remember how much fun we had trying to make ourselves better, and healthier, as often as we could, with our friends!
Boom. Well said, sir.
Wow Tom I really enjoyed this. I know I put too much pressure on myself in and out of the gym sometimes. As I am sure you know by telling me constantly to RELAX!! Health is the main reason the majority of us do crossfit, and with all the competitions that becomes easy to forget. Life has so much to enjoy, and no room for regrets…Thanks for the awesome thoughts!!
Thank you so much for the comment, Christy! You’re so welcome. It’s awesome to see that you, of all people, seem to be ENJOYING a lot of what life has to offer. Don’t stop doing that 🙂
