“What supplements do you use, and why?”
While we’ve spent a lot of time discussing Nutrition, much less time has been given to discussing what supplements you guys are taking.
If you don’t mind, shed some light and share with us what you take (or don’t take), and why!
GNC multivitamin, fish oil, and those mix1 drinks are awesome!
How much and how often, GW?
GNC multivitamin every morning, fishoil and a mix1 post wod.
I would really like to try Progenex, however it is a little pricey.
Scratch that, It would be cheaper for me to drink the Progenex post wod than buying a $2 mix1 everyday!!
Maybe I will start trying Progenex?!?!?!?!
I would be very interested in hearing how your Progenex trial goes.
The most important question I have is:
“Can you tell a difference?”
Are you recovering faster post-WOD? Are you less sore the next day? More muscle gain?
On the Progenex website, it says this:
PROGENEX does three important things:
1. HELPS your muscles recover from strenuous training
2. STIMULATES satellite muscle cells
3. FEEDS satellite muscle cells and mature muscle fibers
That sounds like it would accomplish all of those things.

It’s hard to say, since I recently started the paleo diet and taking vitamins at the same time I can’t single out what is causing me to perform better. However the combination has me performing better and recovering faster.
As for the Progenex, If I start using it now, I won’t be able to tell if my performance has improved from recently going Paleo or from taking Progenex. Therefore….. I think I am going to incoporate it into my training in a couple months that way I will be able to see if I notice a difference from using it.
