I wish I could fly.

The folks at Zapata Racing are making that dream become more and more of a reality with their Flyboard!
I have seen clips of these things before, but never a whole video put together displaying the AWESOMENESS that is the Flyboard. Check it out…. and yes, please. Buy my one for the holidays.

Thanks in advance!

I’ve been looking for some inspiration and motivation lately, and happened to come across this video.
The message in it is so disgustingly positive, that some of you may not even like it (although I hope you do)!

The great Captain Planet always said, “The Power is yours!” You know what, that blue-skinned, mullet-wielding, flying man was right. Knock down those walls telling you that you can’t:

– Make an impact
– Achieve your goals
– Be TRULY happy

Just set your goals, and create a plan to attain them. I believe in you!

(Thanks so much to Michael Marantz for this awesome video!)

Rumor has it that last night brought the first snow (that was pretty close to Denver) of the year. That means ski and snowboard nerds everywhere (like me) are starting to get excited about what some have said is going to be a winter with “more snow than usual”!!!

Now, although I love the snow and fresh pow-pow (yeah, I talk like that)…. watching this video (from the guys at AHSTUDIO) full-screen made my stomach jump. These guys are NUTS!!!

Today’s Moment of Awesomeness will include Land, Sea, AND Sky! Three videos, three very different types of “sports”, but all mind-blowing.

You’re welcome.

Land: WORLD TRICKING CHAMPIONSHIP “OFFICIAL RECAP” | TW FILMS | TRICKING IN LAS VEGAS |

Sea: Biggest Teahupoo Ever, Shot on the PHANTOM CAMERA. [Original 720p video]

Sky: Adventures With Aviator : EPIC World Class Freefly Skydiving with TJ Landgren

I’ve had this video open on my desktop for about 2 weeks now, deciding whether or not to post it. I’m going to post it. The Parkour/Free Running movement (as most of you know) is something that has interested me for a really long time.

The things that these athletes are able to do, the risks they take, the finesse, self control, and body awareness that they display is incredible to watch! While it’s not my favorite Parkour video, I hope you enjoy this one (brought to us by the SmitMedia Crew) as much as I do.

I mean, SERIOUSLY, these dudes are AWESOME!

When I was a kid, I used to watch the X-Games religiously! BMX Street Style, Street Luge, and anything with ramps AND rails were usually my favorite “Summer” X events to watch. This video definitely takes me back to those days.

Check out this video from Red Bull about French rider Matthias Dandois. Here’s the summary directly from the video. It shows, yet again, that the best of the best don’t make excuses for why they can’t train, instead they create opportunities so they can train under any circumstance. So cool!

Winter in France is always tough for the riders. To avoid spending the cold season on his sofa, flat BMX world champion Matthias Dandois found himself a nice little hangar full of jumps and springboards in the outskirts of Paris. Away from the cold weather, he was able to learn new tricks and develop a new style : street-flat. With his latest video Hibernation, Matthias once again demonstrates his passion for innovation.

Have you ever seen the Dark Knight in IMAX or been to a planitarium? Well I did, and I have, and when your whole world gets tilted on it’s side by some crazy turn or inversion, I always get that crazy knot in my stomach! When I saw this video today (thanks to J. Kush for sharing it!), I got that same feeling.

Some people are adrenaline junkies. Others, are just insane.

These frenchmen do some INCREDIBLE slack-lining at absurd heights. Some of them have parachutes, some rely on a simple rope and carabiner to catch them if they fall… and the craziest of them all, solo at the top (which means they use NO harness for support. You fall, that’s all she wrote).

This video is awesome. Please enjoy, but most importantly, please do not try this yourself!

I had a buddy ask me the other day if I knew of a video that explained to people “What CrossFIt is…” without it being a heavy metal soundtrack and a bunch of barbarians doing superhuman feats. I think that’s a pretty valid question, and while there are a number of videos out there talking about what CF is, and what it means to people, there need to be different approaches to what the benefits of the program can be (i.e., not just lifting a lot of weight).

I get to see so many incredible athletes every day I’m at the gym, and that doesn’t mean people who can deadliest 600lbs (although I DO know one of those… what up, CC!). For me, the inspiration comes from people who commit themselves to a healthier lifestyle (of working out and eating relatively clean), and come away from it with a noticeably improved overall quality of life. As a coach, and as a person, I find that incredible.

Stories like the one in the video below are the ones that inspire me the most. So Peter, does this count as a video that explains a little bit about “What CrossFit is”, or at least, what it can do to the people who follow the “fitness program”?

Beards = Awesome. That’s all I really have to say about that!

(Thanks to Red Black Gym Austin for this hilarious video!)

HAPPY FRIDAY! I thought today would be a good day to start off with a few laughs. I know I laughed watching all of these (again).

There have been a few videos I’ve posted about “funny” gym, or fitness, etiquette.

There was the “Don’t Be That Awkward Runner” video…

Then there was the classic “Bad CrossFit Gym Etiquette” video…

Now today I saw this other one and thought it was awesome! It’s called “Don’t Be That Guy at the Gym”. So good.

Happy Friday, everyone!
