Got this video from Alec Hanson and it is ridiculous.
Question #1 – Who are these kids.
Question #2 – Which one of them went… “Let’s get good at something! Like… reallllly good. How about a POGO STICK!”
Awesome stuff!

This guy is HILARIOUS.
He won our hearts over first in his video about him training to become the fittest man in the world…
Now he introduces us to DogFit, his training program for canines.
“Canine Fitness is something that is severely overlooked in the United States. People feed their dogs terrible foods, corn-fed foods, processed foods. With our fitness program, combined with nutrition, we’re gonna have dogs… dogs that can win wars on their own, dogs that may even start reading and writing. When the endocrine response effects a metabolism of a species, it may actually increase the intelligence and aptitude. I feel smarter from doing CrossFit.”
So good.
Yesterday’s video that I posted was part 1 of a series. Today, you get part 2!
They come from a series of videos from the “Betty Wants In” Vimeo channel, and feature a lot of things I really like.
Extreme Sports. Slow Motion. Skydiving. (even though I’ve never jumped out of a perfectly good plane before)
It’s called “Experience Zero Gravity“, and like yesterday’s video, has some epic stuff.
The crew at LifeAsRx always shares such cool videos! Yesterday’s video was no exception.
Check out Part 1 of this series of videos from the “Betty Wants In” Vimeo channel.
It’s called “Experience Human Flight“, and features some pretty incredible visuals.
I’m not going to divulge whether or not tomorrow will include Part 2 of this series…. but I suggest you check back just be sure!
Three days of Parkour in a row on this blog of mine. Guess what, we’re not going to make it four.
HOWEVER, since it’s already Winter Sports Season in Denver (I hit my first day on the slopes snowboarding last Saturday), I miss the sun and the heat already! Sure, I love the snow and winter sports, but every once and a while I wish I could just drive to the beach and get my sun on.
Having grown up going to Brasil every year to visit my family, SURFING has been a big part of my life, too. It’s crazy to think that I’ve been a fan of surfing LEGEND Kelly Slater for almost my entire, but it’s true. Check out the video below.
At almost 40 years old, he’s still dominating the wave and winning competitions. If you’ve ever surfed before, look at the stuff this guy does and enjoy it.
If you’ve NEVER surfed before, know that Kelly Slater is the truth.
I’ve had two straight days of Parkour/Free-Running on my blog. Are you sick of it yet? I hope not, because I’m not sick of it yet!
I have featured Damien Walters on my blog before, and he is hands down one of my favorite traceurs (or practitioners of Parkour) out there. His stuff takes the game to a new level.
Happy Friday, everyone!
In preparation for the MBS CrossFit Turkey Challenge Competition this weekend, I wanted to show all of the CrossFit Lakewood Competitors where I expect your handstand walking to be by now! 🙂
Absolutely amazing dancing by Arthur Cadre, and Alex Yde creates another great video. The song is Sail by AWOLNATION!
Thanks to my friends at CrossFit Eminence for posting this AWESOME video today.
Happy Wednesday!
Today’s word of the day is:
Beatbox.
If you’ve known me since EPIC SUMMER 2011 started, you know that my musical tastes quickly branched off into the realm of “Dubstep”, and I haven’t looked back since. My particular style of Dubstep that I like is pretty specific, but when I find a beat or song I like, I’m HOOKED! (side note: for all of you who were a part of EPIC SUMMER, here’s the one that STARTED IT ALLLLLL!)
Anyways, enough about my musical tastes… I came across this Beatbox video on YouTube, and knowing what Dubstep traditionally sounds like, I thought it’d be pretty tough to replicate it with only the human voice.
Well… this guy nails it pretty hard. The word that is used to describe music like this (which I LOVE…) is FLITHY. This guy’s Dubstep Beatbox is filthy.
For those of you who might not like dubstep at all, I will also post two of my other favorite beatbox videos. I’m trying to please everyone here, work with me, people!
Another pretty good freestyle. My favorite is his “scratching” sounds:
I’ve posted this one before, but I still think this dude is pretty sick:
Since that may be WAYYYY too much Beatboxing for some of you, I will repost the coolest Dubstep DANCING videos I’ve ever seen! Check it!
Go Ahead and re-read this post from last week… then look at the BOTTOM of the page.
Matt Chan is made to look like a tortoise… (haha, just kidding. But check it out!!)
WHAT?!?!?

One of my favorite weight lifting exercises is the Clean and Jerk.
It should be no coincidence, then, that one of my favorite CrossFit workouts is Grace:
30 Clean and Jerks at 135lbs for time.
My Personal Record in this workout is 2:28, and a goal of mine before the end of the year is to get under 2:15. With a WOD that short, it seems to me that a 15 second improvement would be pretty significant.
Well, after the 2:15 milestone, the next goal of mine was to break 2:00 at some point. In my opinion, your Grace time is only considered “good” when you can get it under 2:00. Most really strong CrossFitters are between 1:35-1:45.
Then there’s Matt Chan from CrossFit Verve here in Denver. That’s all I’ll say….
Ok. I’ll say one more thing.
HE GETS A 1:16!?!?!? Are you kidding me?!
(thanks for sharing this, Cheez)

Dan Bailey…. 1:02 GRACE. 1 Minute. And 2 Seconds.
